I know what you were saying.. it's just kind of an odd comment to make about a guy who has been a shoe in for quite a while now. The 3,000 hit milestone is simply going to improve his voting percentage when he goes in on the first ballot.

Well you just never know with baseball Hall. Think of Jim Rice. Had incredible career. And last I check he didn't get in yet. I am just saying there is no doubt at all from anyone anymore.

Haha...Rice was inducted in 2009. And Rice is/was not in Jeter's class (I don't think he should have made it imo).

Will the ball be worth a lot? It is not a record breaking ball. Maybe because it is the Yankees first 3,000 hit ball. What would something like that get?

Jeter 3-3...just missing a triple for the cycle. Now that would be cool if he did that on the same day.

                  And in walk-off fashion.

Normally I'm not a Yankee fan, but I sort of am today. It would be nice for his 3,000-hit day to hold a little more memory with a win.

Looks like 2009 Derek Jeter returned for a day.

LOL, and HBO is doing a documentary. And on YES there are already commercials to buy Derek Jeter 3000 memorabilia from Steinersports.

Anyone watching the Braves game on FOX 5 Atlanta? What's wrong with the commentary? I'm hearing the fans and umpires but the analysts seem to be on mute.

Cliff Lee showing he got some pop in his bat. Hanson was cruising along too. Big MISTAKE!
