I would do the same thing. Ever seen Family Guy?

Either way, you're looked at really positively by people like you and the Yankees organization, and there's a chance you get rewarded for your selfless act in the end anyway. That's just how it works.

I don't think it's a lock that he's in the top 5. I'd probably take the following before him:

          1) Halladay
          2) Felix
          3) Verlander
          4) Lincecum
          5) Kershaw

Felix, Lincecum, and Kersh are on the list for their youth in addition to their talent. Halladay and Verlander are just better imo. That said, CC gets underrated because he's a Yankee. He's durable and a true ace.

CC is not top 5, but only because there are people who are just too good right now.

The league is blessed with amazing, amazing pitchers.

                For me its:

                1. Roy Halladay
                2. Verlander
                3. King Felix
                4. CC
                5. Either Lee or Lincecum, cant decide

Kershaw is just outside of it, but he'll be a top 5 pitcher probably once he hits his prime.

I agree 100% with the fact that CC gets underrated because hes a Yankee.

Oh well though. There are tons of great pitchers as someone said. You couldnt go wrong with around 15 or so guys around the league right now.

Today was a good day. The Jays walloped Cleveland to finish the break on a high note (3 game win streak) and Ricky Romero is going to Arizona! I hope he gets to pitch an inning.

Yeah I'm pretty sure Lincecum would have the same numbers in the AL East as in the NL West

What did he do to the Texas hitters? I promise you one thing he would have more wins then CC if he was a Yankee.

NL west have some powerful line ups in DB, Dodgers and Col. Those line ups can score with the best of them.

Texas is more of a "swing at everything" kinda team compared to the teams in the AL East which tends to look for the pitch they want and drive it. The Yanks and BoSox would up his pitch count considerably. The Rays would be very patient against him and even the O's and Jays would at least look for pitches they can hit. That doesn't mean they'll have a TON of success against him but they wouldn't look as feeble as Texas did.

Then he will throw strikes. What makes him tough is his motion. Tim would do just fine on the Yankees.
