Apparently the Dodgers haven't watched Juan Rivera play this year as they traded for him. It was a very minor transaction but at least he's out of Toronto.

Reds asking about Jimenez and Rockies are apparently not straight out rejecting it. Intriguing.

He would be a fine pickup if he was a FA after this year, but his option turns into a player option if he's traded. That's going to pretty much kill his trade value. I don't think anyone wants to pay Aramis $16 million.

Wasn't it this past winter that had the big rumors of him being traded? Was there something I missed that made that change drastically or were they just worried that he wouldn't be worth 14M in 2014/15.

Not that I think he is available or should be.

Being 3.0 games back might change their tune

                    Brewers acquired K-Rod.

Interesting...always good to strengthen your bullpen, but was Axford really doing that badly? His stats look alright.

I believe Axford will still be the closer as he has put up great numbers this season. But the Brewers have a shaky bullpen to say the least, so this shores it up a little. Also with K-Rod not being the closer, he will most likely not have his $17.5MM option vest.

I like the acquisition for the Brewers, they definitely needed bullpen help and K-Rod should most definitely provide that.

Not sure what the Brewers gave up for K-Rod but I'm I don't understand why they made the trade. Too early to pull the trigger for K-Rod in my opinion.

Two players to be named later...so who knows who they are as of right now.

Too early? When you're only going to have him for a year, don't you want him here for as long as you can get him?

Reminds me of when we got Sabathia well before the deadline instead of right at it to get a few extra starts. Turns out we needed those wins too.

I like this trade a lot, depending on who the PBTNL are. An incredibly rock solid setup man, and a great insurance policy if Axford either gets hurt or loses his mustache magic.

Now we need a shortstop. ****ing Betancourt...
