No. It's such a bad idea that I don't feel like using the energy to explain why.

It's such a bad idea that there should be no need to explain.

It's probably the worst decision I've seen made in sports in the time that I've watched sports. Absolutely inexplicable how anyone could ever have possibly thought that it was a good idea.

I dont think so. The all-star game is about the fans, and each city should be able to experience it.

              No...

The only reason we're saddled with this is because of that abomination of an ASG in I believe Milwaukee where it ended in a tie.

I'm still pissed at Selig for that. That's the only MLB All-Star game I've ever watched start to finish and that's how it ended.

But I just smiled a bit because I just remembered Torii Hunter robbing * of a home run. Then * lifted Torii on his shoulder as though he were a rag doll.

I blame all the people who bitched and moaned about that ASG ending in a tie. Who cares? One of the most absurd controversies of all time, and when you pressure a guy like Bud Selig into making a change, he's going to make a bad one.

I wonder who's the one person who thinks it should?...maybe they're being funny.

We have 80-something "all-stars" this year due to all the replacements filling in for guys who can't or won't play simply because managers need to make sure they have a full, healthy roster. Seriously, there are reserves for reserves or reserves playing. It's ridiculous. When you start naming guys who aren't even viable via name recognition and have to just toss warm bodies in there to fill out the team, it's time to pack it up.

When it was just an exhibition, that wasn't a concern. I miss little things like Larry Walker jokingly switching sides of the plate to face Randy Johnson after a pitch sailed over his head. The fun of the game is lost. All because a bunch of fans overreacted to the tie game and the idiot commish overreacted to them.

It should go to whichever team had the better record. Period.

In a rare case the 2 WS teams have identical records, then you award it to the league that won the All Star Game. If the 2 WS teams happened to play during interleague that year though, whoever won the series gets it. Sounds fair to me.

No, but what's worse is the reason why they decided to do it in the first place... just because an All-Star Game ended up in a tie.

However, I do enjoy the incentive of making it count. It would mean people will not only play with near-maximum effort, but they will want to play. That's why I'm slightly confused we had to replace over two dozen dropouts. They should want to play for their league's home field advantage in the World Series, especially if it's their team.

No, its a terrible idea. Whichever team had the better record should get it.

I think this is just a relatively gimmick idea though, I cant see it lasting much longer since theres been a bit more of an outcry from people over having the ASG mean so much.
