I don't know about you, but I expect to hear stories like this when it comes to athletes. I'm not saying that had to do with it (and the inadmissible evidence did), but if this falls under the double jeopardy clause, boy will have he gotten off easily... like most all athletes do.

      That......was unexpected.

A lot of the talk before the trial was that the Feds really did their homework and due diligence on this one and had a real strong case.

      I guess not now......

doubt Clemens is happy bout this

he was looking forward to this trial

prosecution gets to keep their "90 percent conviction rate" intact

A lot of the talk from whom? ESPN? Ya they did their homework so much that the prosecution forced a mistrial before the very first witness. That was either incompetence or intentional.

The only "evidence" the feds had was McNamee and there's no doubt that Hardin would have shredded him on the stand. It's not like the Bonds trial where there was a positive test and paper trails leading to Balco. The prosecutions entire case rested on McNamee who is a proven liar.

I don't listen to ESPN's rabble rousing so no, not from them but rather from journalists and some legal experts. I had heard an interview from a guy that wrote a book about the whole Clemens scandal and he gave a good overview of what the Feds were hoping to do.

Honestly I was interested to see what would happen if a trial were to take place. Personally I think Clemens was on the juice so even if they can't prove it; it doesn't change the fact that I think the guy's a lying scumbag. I believe the feds were angling to get Petitte on the stand as well and that would've been a bit damaging to Clemens IMO.

Idk I wouldn't put much stock in a group that is incompetent enough to force a mistrial before the very first witness, but maybe that's just me. The mistrial was 100 percent the govt lawyers' fault

What a joke. The "feds" have been batting well below the Mendoza line as of late.

Good, I'm glad. One less circus that we're forced to hear about constantly. Well, unless they start a new one.

Good this is a waste of time just like the Barry Bonds trial.

Yeah, this isn't going away, it's just delayed now...again.

I'll be very surprised if after all of this, the feds don't get another crack at it.
