Want my thoughts on the Twins? I think they're a underachieving team with a horrible rotation and absolutely no chance against the Yankees. The White Sox would have been a more entertaining division series.

You think the Twins are an under-achieving team? And the White Sox arent'?? Also, compare the Twin's rotation to the Sox's rotation down the stretch, who's horrible?? Who have you been watching??? The Twins continue to "over achieve", while the White Sox can't do JACK @#$%&%$ SQUAT with the talent that they have.

Another point, the White Sox are not an "entertaining" team to watch. If you, in all of your "uber baseball intellect" had seen, the White Sox are a boring team. If they don't hit a homerun, they don't score runs. This was evident during their "exciting" series against the Twins where they got SPANKED royally and couldn't generate a run to save their lives.

Sure, it would definately be more exciting to see a piss-poor team like Chicago get swept by the Yankees than it would to see the Twins make a series out of it.

Congratulation to yourself on expressing your baseball ignorance, and tell me again who the under-achievers are?

      Re: Official Twins Thread

I look at year long statistics to rate teams I don't care about. If I was a Twin fan I'd be ecstatic going into the playoffs, but I'm not. The White Sox beat up on the Yankees, so therefore I find that to be a more entertaining series.

Milton has only thrown 17 innings, so his sub 3.00 era doesn't explain how poor of a pitcher he is. Radke is your second best starter along with a quality pitcher in Santana. After those two, you guys are in trouble for the playoffs.

The Twins are a horribly underachieving team pitching wise. I should have made it more clear earlier that I was talking about pitching and not hitting. Milton was supposed to be a good starter but has been no better than a medicore pitcher. Brad Radke was supposed to be your ace but has struggled the past two years. Joe Mays has been a joke since his good year in 2001. Rick Reed should have been cut long ago, and Kenny Rogers has been terrible as well. The only bright spot in your rotation is Santana who is only starting because your original rotation has completely failed to earn their paycheck. Yes, they've been good down the stretch, but that just shows how bad they pitched in the beginning of the season.

Again, Twin fans don't want to and don't care to hear this because they know their team is ready for the playoffs. The truth is, however, and this is the crucial point, that the Twins rotation has not been good overall this year. And if I ever hear that Torri Hunter is your best player ever again, I'm gonna freak out.

I admit that I know little about the Twins history, and I also think quite differently than Twins fans. All I know, and need to know, is that your rotation has overall been terrible this year, the only starter on your team that's worth my time is Santana, however I'm sure you guys will put up a fight against the Yankees. Hopefully Minnesota beats the Yankees, and thanks to Fox for broadcasting the Twins / Yankees while I'm not home and broadcasting the Cubs / Braves game in primetime.

One more thing, what did I say that made me sound ignorant? Am I wrong about the Twins rotation, and if so correct me please.

Blah, those old arms the Yankees have in the rotation are about ready to fall off this time of year. The series will be much more entertaining than you believe, and the White Sox would have put up little resistance.
