Re: "Random" Memorable Performances You've Seen
July 5th, Lester has a no hitter through 4 or 5 and is pulled because of an injury, and the no hitter is lost in the 6th. Then at the end McDonald throws home and throws the runner out at the plate to end the game.
July 7th, the Red Sox explode for 10 runs. Ortiz, Reddick, and Salty go back to back to back, and the Red Sox hit 6 home runs.Follow me on Twitter: @ADice15Comment

Speaking of the Sox, I remember them going Back-to-Back-to-Back-to-Back against the Yankees on Sunday Night Baseball a few years ago.
That was awesome.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Seeing Barry Bonds for the first and only time ever in my life is up there. I thought he was an amazing hitter regardless of the roids and i wanted to see him during his home run chase. Took a flight to Fenway dressed in Bonds Authentic and a Yankee Hat as i was just begging for trouble. Turns out the game we go to he hit a homer.
I also saw Roy Halladay's awful start last year against (you guessed it) the Red Sox. i believe he gave up 7 runs and then the following start he pitched the perfect game against the marlins

Re: "Random" Memorable Performances You've Seen
The guy above me talking about seeing Barry Bonds for the first time makes me remember an awesome encounter I had with him.
My first MLB game ever was a Giants @ Braves game from 1999 (I was 10), and we were seating 7 or 8 rows up in in the left field bleachers down the foul line. Between innings, Barry Bonds would come over and play catch with some of us young kids in the stands. From that point on, I didn't care what anyone said about his attitude or how much of a jerk he was - he was a good guy in my eyes.
that's one of 3 things that I vividly remember from my first MLB experience. the other 2 are - 1.) with Stan Javier at the plate, a huge lightning bolt struck what seemed like 100 yards from the park, and Javier jumped straight up in the air, almost over the crouching catcher! haha. and the other, I remember myself and several other young kids being in awe of Robb Nen warming up in the Giants bullpen before coming in in the 9th, and you could hear him popping the catcher's mitt echoing all over the park. Incredible
Speaking of me not thinking Bonds is a jerk, I did encounter a REAL jerk the next day prior to the Braves game against the Astros. a bunch of Braves came over to the fence around the players' parking lot before they went into the clubhouse (Bret Boone, Andruw Jones, Kevin Millwood, etc.), and John Rocker came all the way over to the fence JUST to tell all of us kids and our parents to get a life and quit harassing people that had better things to do with their time. I honestly thought that my dad, along with 5 or 6 other dads out there, was going to jump the fence and beat the hell out of him. biggest ******* I've ever encountered in my life.

I was at the game where Rafael Palmeiro hit his 500th homerun. At the time that was pretty cool. After the whole steroid thing came out it wasn't so cool, but still, looking back it was cool to be there when it happened.
Also last year I was in Milwaukee when Colby Lewis pitched a gem against the Brewers. That was his break out game for the year and he hit an RBI double which was a huge surprise seeing as he pitches in the AL. I also remember Justin Smoak going 0 for 5 with 5 strikeouts in that game. After the 4th strikeout were were cheering and hoping for a 5th strikeout just cause and it happened.Life is a sport, so play hard!

Nothing too crazy.
-I was at Roger Clemens start for AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in 2007
-I saw Rafael Palmeiro get his 2,998th hit, a homer, at an Orioles-Red Sox game in '05...it was the last game before the AS break and the O's won to get within 2 games of the AL East lead...sigh.Comment

Almost forgot 2006 Dodgers back-to-back-to-back-to-back. Jeff Kent, JD Drew, Russell Martin, Marlon Anderson in the bottom of the 9th! Then Nomar with the walk-off later. That was a sight.Lakers | Michigan | DodgersComment

Last year I was at the game where Ubaldo Jimenez set the Rockies' single-season mark for wins in a season. It was a win against the Reds, and what was also cool about that game was that Chapman came on in relief and threw 3 pitches: 101, 103, 104. You should've heard the gasps from the crowd when the speeds were shown on the board.
Jason Giambi's walk-off home run against the Red Sox was awesome. That game had a playoff atmosphere to it.Currently Playing:

I was at Greg Maddux's 350th win. Though that's not really a "random" memorable performance.Comment
