Oh yeah, I was at Bonds' 73rd home run game. My dad got trampled in right field where it landed.

Flew from Texas to Cali to watch the A's beat the Twins in the ALDS in 2006. Best sporting event I have ever been to. Atmosphere was incredible (especially for Oakland).

As a side note, last week I was in SF for business and got tickets to the A's-Rays game...got to go on the field for BP, which was a pretty neat experience.

Not really a memorable performance by a player but by a team. I was at the Cubs games where they rallied in the 8th to win 10-8 against the dodgers on April 23rd. It was from the bleachers.

Red Sox-Royals. May 22, 2008. Mike Lowell and J.D. Drew both hit grand slams. And that's not even taking into account what happened three days before...

Game I was at: Randy Johnson striking out 17 but Ron Villone getting the one win 8 innings of 1 hit ball in a Reds 2-0 win.

                  Remembering:
Rangers score 30 runs in first game of Doubleheader vs Orioles. Crazy they scored all 30 in only 4 innings (and actually were losing 3-0 at one point)

My cousin and I went to a Diamondback/Padres game in July of 2001. Not a big deal until the top of the 3rd when a transformer blew and the a lot of the lights across the stadium when out. It looked like something out of the Natural.

They sent everyone home and said it would be made up as a double-header the next day. We ending up going back down to Qualcomm the next day for both games. Schilling had started that game but Randy Johnson came in and pitched in relief. He went 7 scoreless giving up just 1 hit and striking out 16.

                    That was a crazy game.

haha. just looked over the box score. Padres got 1 hit, coming in the bottom of the 8th. How crazy would that have been if Schilling & Johnson had thrown a 2 day no-hitter.

Interesting events/performances in games I've seen live:

                        - Edgar Martinez tearing his hamstring against the Brewers in a 1993 ST game in Vancouver, BC (the event that precipitated Edgar's move to full-time DH)
                        - Pedro's domination at the 1999 All-Star Game (and the McGwire show at the Home Run Derby the night before)
                        - Chan Ho Park serving up a meatball to Cal Ripken, Jr. at the 2001 All-Star Game
                        - watching the Mariners play live 3 times during their record 116-46 season; they went 0-3!
                        - the end of of McGwire's consecutive HR streak in a Reds/Cardinals game in 2001
                        - Kansas City losing their 18th straight during their 19-game losing streak in 2005 (a game that featured 2 grand slams)
                        - hearing that Michael Jackson had died while I was at a Padres/Mariners game in 2009
                        - Josh Johnson throwing 7 innings of 2-hit, shutout ball (and hitting a home run!) against Washington before melting down in the 8th, losing 6-4
                        - J.A. Happ tossing a complete game shutout against the Rockies in 2009 (only one I've seen live)
                        - the Cubs losing in true Cubbie fashion at Wrigley: outhitting the Phils 10-3 over 12 innings, yet somehow losing 4-3 (at one point, Marmol enters the game with the bases empty, then proceeds to allow the Phillies to score via a BB-HBP-BB-BB sequence)

TV: Kerry Wood striking out 20 Houston Astros on May 6, 1998.

Live: also in 1998, September 5: Mark McGwire hitting HR #60 (tying Babe Ruth) against the Cincinnati Reds. He, of course, passed both Ruth and Maris in the next series vs. the Cubs.

I still think that was one of the most dominating performances since the Koufax era -- on par with any of Pedro or Randy Johnson's starts.

It's really too bad that hit of the 3B glove wasn't made.
