I love the intensity there seems to be w/ the Phillies/Giants matchups. Ramon Ramirez is a punk if he's plunking the batter because he can't hold his runners. And Beltran?! Saying that he wouldn't have stolen a base as Rollins did, given the circumstances, lead-wise?!?.... Well Charlie....that's assuming you could steal a base anyways with your bum-knees!

So does San Fran know that they got an OF who thinks that a 6 run lead for the other team in the top of the 6th should be good enough to beat the Giants. Hope so.

Because stealing 2nd with a 6 run lead was not a bitch move? I'm not saying I would have plunked Victorino, but anytime anybody charges the mound, then they obviously have issues. If Ramirez want to be a bitch, let him be one and take your base. Not only that, but Victorino was being restrained by a Phil. What good can from that situation?

Take that argument to the "baseball unwritten rules thread". Steal with a 6 run lead in the 9th may be a "bitch" move (love the overuse of that word these days), but not when the other team still has 12 outs to go. Or are you saying your team is gonna pack it in because it's already the 6th inning?

Ya, Victorino has be the ONLY guy to get hit and start walking toward the mound. Ya. I guess EVERYONE else who has been plunked and has walked to or charged the mound is now a "bitch" throughout baseball history.

Take it to the media?? What in the world are you talking about? What does the media have to do with any of this. Take it to the media? Take what to the media?

This whole situation has been mounting since last year.

This stems right back to the baseball etiquette thread.

Really, it's your call. If you think that's a bitch move, have at it. but you know the drill... if somebody on the Giants hits a three run home run or a grand slam their next half-inning, suddenly it's a ball game again.

I think the first threshold that you could consider to be in "bitch move" territory is ahead by eight runs in the seventh inning or later. Six in six isn't all that out of hand. I don't think Rollins will take any heat for this, and if this was the cause of it, it should've been between the pitcher and Rollins, not everybody else on the team.

Unfortunately, Victorino was going to be Ramirez's last batter, so I guess he wanted to make it count.
