I got up for work an hour early...went in an hour early so I could be here for Cubs tickets when they went on sale at 8am. I had my cell phone and my work phone dialing and I also had 3 browser windows open to buy tickets. After about 30 minutes, I gave up on the phone as I was getting nowhere.
Finally, after sitting in a 'virtual waiting room' for about 55 minutes, all my windows changed to say "Cubs NLCS tickets are not available." I was really mad...three games (figure 30,000 tickets a game after they give away about 10,000) and I couldn't get 2 tickets?? I am a huge Cubs fan--been watching since I was 5 and I was going to take time off of work and fly from Texas to Chicago to watch but now that's not gonna happen.
I guess I could go on Ebay and pay $500 for a pair of crappy seats, but that's about the amount I was planning to spend for 2 tickets and a plane ticket...not just the two tickets.
Did anyone else have any luck getting tickets to any playoff games? I am really wishing I would've bought some tickets for the games in Atlanta and went there for a day....oh well.
