Classic? Classic piece of [censored you naughty boy] that is. They need to get field turf like Tropicana has in the worst way. That way it plays like a normal ball field. Baseball should never be played in a fixed dome, anyways. My .02.

Re: 3D View of Petco Park

I think I've mentioned this before on these message boards, but I hate the Metrodome just as much as anybody...until playoff time. There's just something about a capacity crowd waving their Homer Hankys making enough noise to wake up a deaf person. I don't know maybe you have to be a Twins fan to come to appreciate the ugliest structure ever to host a baseball game. Just watch today's game and try not to think of '87 and '91. Plus the dome field advantage gives the Twins the best chance to win.

      Let's go Twins!!
      Minnesota Vikings
      Minnesota Twins
      Chicago Bulls
      UNC Tar Heels

Petco reminds me alot of PNC Park. Besides the warehouses, they look very similar.

Unfortunately, I don't think they can put field turf down. From what I've heard, you can't put field turf in to a multi-purpose stadium.

Apparantly, field turf is a permantent surface (like grass) and would be ruined by moving seating around or covering.
