Um, they did win 100 games. As opposed to the Angels who choked the whole season and didn't even make the playoffs.

Uh, Halos won the WS last year, as opposed to the Giants, who choked the f out!(same as another club )

P.S. Can Urbina get any worse? Sheesh!

      Ya dude, they suck
There's a big difference between sucking and choking.

They did pull off one of the biggest choke jobs in history. They should have won every game in that series. All the errors, poor base-running, hit batsmen, no clutch hitting (outside of Alfonzo), and outside of Herges and Schmidt the pitching just vanished.

Snow didn't even need to be fast to score on that hit. All he had to do was know how to run the bases correctly- he had no secondary lead, and took the completely wrong angle on third base.

Point- The Marlins didn't win the series, the Giants GAVE IT TO THEM!

Pudge did a great job, but I think if the Cubs or Braves just play their game the Marlins are gonna be totally creamed.

The marlins did what they needed to do to win. They werent waiting for the giants to mess up. There is no asterisk after the series win. If, by some chance, the marlins take it all this year, would you then say all the teams they played didnt bring their "A" game? Whos fault is that, the marlins?

I understand how the Giants were the better team in the series, but simply stating that the giants GAVE them the series is discrediting the fish and what they have accomplished this year. They have one of the best records since the all star break.

You can say whatever you want about a team, but the one who wins is the one who wins. I seriously doubt the Giants wanted to lose to the marlins. Just like i am sure every team is fighting to get to the world series.

You can make an argument that the favorite played worse, but at the same time you can make the argument that the underdog played better. Yeah they had luck on their side, but last time i checked that was legal.

Yeah i am a homer, but i also give props to a team when they beat another team. Denying that kills the spirit of competition.

I should've included in my original post that I didn't want to take anything away from the Marlins.
They did what they had to do, which is make fewer mistakes than the Giants and get some clutch hits.
No doubt, the Giants got out played, but they didn't play that well. The Pirates might have beaten them the way they played.
Actually, it's something that the Giants played so poorly and damn near pulled it out.

If the Giants want to win the world series they're gonna have to dump Snow and FeRod.

Did anyone realize that the Giants lost the game due to the Giants' Cather's stupidity, and partially Pudge? After Pudge ran into the cather and the ball was knocked out of his hand, IRod proceeded to lift his hands up and celebrate for some reason? Like he just won the game. During his celebration, the ball rolled off a couple of feet from the Giant's C, while he was daydreaming or admiring Pudge, and before he realized it, the second runner came in to score. That second runner, I think Castillo was the winning run, not the Pudge's. So during the top of the 9th, the Giants did manage to come up with the 1 run(that Pudge scored), which could have tied the game, but instead they lost it due to the Giants' catcher's unawareness. Tough luck.
Oh, and nobody mentioned this afterwards.
