Gosh I wouldn't. Jerry Manual never shuts up and you can't even understand what he's saying. It's like his brain is telling his mouth what to say but his tongue is like "WTF"???

Brandon Inge is an idiot. Bases loaded 2 outs. Ground ball to him. HE THROWS TO SECOND! Guy is safe, game over.

He could have crawled to 3rd base and still beat the runner to the bag. Or thrown to first and had the runner out by 40 feet.

What a great way to lose a well played game. He could never hit and apparently he's no able to contribute anything in the field anymore. He already prolonged the inning with a botched DP attempt.

            But they still play him.

Leyland is so pissed off right now. That interview was so bad. So many things wrong in this game. You bring Don Kelly in as a defensive replacement - in a tie game in the 7th inning. So now for the last 3 innings you have Kelly and his .230 average hitting instead of Boesch who has 16 homers. Kelly popped up a bunt, ended up a double play. I'm not even sure Kelly is better than Boesch out there?

And Inge coming in for Betemit. In a tie game! You can't bring in defensive replacements in the middle of a tie game. That's not how those things work. It also helps when your defensive replacement doesn't ruin an inning and the game by himself.

That's not all - He just tried to place both of his mistakes on the umpires. For both plays he said "Well some people were saying they thought he was out.....so..."

He's so cocky, arrogant, he's a got a huge ego. He can't hit, he can't field.

Why is he still here. Last year you bit the bullet and released Robertson, or Willis and paid them 10 million. Inge is only getting 6 next year. Release him.

Betemit has been hitting .320 as a Tiger but he can't start more than 3 times a week and can't finish the games he starts. I hate Inge more than the devil himself.

Say what you want, Inge made the right play.

You want to blame someone, blame Santiago.

I think it's the right play if you're close to the base on a quick liner, to avoid the throwing error. But with the jump Rodriguez had and the time Inge still had to easily either make the throw to 1st or do a quick sprint to third, it was the wrong play.

So I finally saw the Inge play...don't know how you blame him for that. You see that throw go to 2nd almost every time. If Santiago gets to the bag, the runner is out...that is on Santiago. Whoever thought Inge would have beaten the guy to 3rd is crazy. The guy was almost past Inge and running full speed. The play is go to 1st or 2nd...the shorter throw is to 2nd. Santiago just got caught watching the play instead of getting where he was supposed to be.

Santiago was watching the play because he "knew" the throw would be to 1st. Throwing to second was the quicker play, but not the safer play. Inge may have assumed the runner would be out at 2nd without checking with his eyes. There's just no need for the risky play at second over the safe play at first.
