Maggs is swinging the bat today like it's 2007 all over again.

      Go go All-Star reliever!

EDIT: I said that before I saw Austin Jackson homered.

Man, this is just one of those games where it doesn't matter whose on the mound today for either team. All pitchers are getting shelled.

Eric Hosmer seems to like hitting the ball in Detroit.

Exact same start today for the Cardinals as yesterday! Furcal hits a lead-off homer and Pujols follows with a solo HR of his own! This is awesome!

I'm saying it now, Brett Lawrie will run away with the ROTY next year if he can keep up this pace.

He's only 26 games into his ML career with 32 hits 6 2Bs, 7 HRs and 4 3Bs and 20 RBI. He's hitting in the clutch and his defense has improved immensely. This kid is gonna be a star in this league for years to come.

Oh and I say this because he hit the GW HR for the Jays in the 8th inning today.

Wouldn't Lawrie be a 2nd year player next year if he keeps playing?

He'll have less than 130 ABs but looks like he'll lose eligibility next year due to number of days on the roster.

                  DAMNIT!

You should be happy about that. All ROY would do is cause him to be more expensive come arbitration. You don't want that.

Shouldn't he end up with something like 190 AB's by the end of the season?

Eh? Lawrie's already got 94 AB. He'll easily surpass the 130 AB cut-off.

Yankees gave Jesus Montero a September call up, and he's starting DH tonight.

Pujols guy is pretty good. A bad year for him but Still leads the NL in HR's.

Just too little too late for them.
