    Justice to Dusty

I know I may be beating a dead horse here, but it's become relevant again.

It may be Dusty who has to pay for his own managerial flop in the All Star game. With home field going to the AL.

What a surprise ... another rip on Dusty.

The man put in Gagne, a pitcher who had I believe 55 saves without a single blown save in the regular season. Even if my numbers aren't accurate, Gagne was golden all season long.

How, exactly, is this a managerial flop by Dusty??

It's just bitterness. Just last week I kept hearing how the Giants were better with Alou now with Dusty gone. OOOPS!

Yeah, you can't fault Dusty for bringing in the MLB's top relief pitcher in that situation. It's like faulting Torre for bringing in Rivera against the Diamondbacks. The right move, but wrong result. Can't fault the manager on that one.

No, no, no, no, no- I'm not blaming Dusty for putting in Gagne, of course not that would be stupid.

But if you remember correctly, Dusty was mostly concerned about getting everybody into the game and depleted his bench early. Scoscia, however, used his bench wisely sending up guys who matched up well against the opposing pitcher of the moment.

Dusty, as usual, was more worried about having all the players like him. Scoscia was just worried about winning.

As for me starting this thread because I'm bitter that the Giants lost. That's just stupid, how could I blame Dusty for that? We all saw Cruz, Grissom, & Torrealba drop the ball. Snow take a route around 3rd that took him south of the equator, and they left 18 men on base in game 3. No, I said before, the Giants totally blew that on their own.
