Big win for the Red Sox, Wakefield really had that knuckle ball dancing and I wouldn't be suprised to see him out of the pen if needed later in the series. The Sox offense also looked pretty good. Yankees looked ok, just ok. Soraino and Giambi didn't do much and for the Yanks to win they both gotta start hitting

Anyways it looks like a great series

Buck and McCarver (ugh) mentioned that Wakefield will be used in this series much like Lowe was in the ALDS. I think it'll be very much to Boston's advantage to have a pitcher who will in essence never be "too tired" to pitch because knucklers can pitch ALLLLLLLL day long.

The X factor tho is how effective that knuckle ball is.

With Pedro ready for game 3, you might call tonight's game a must-win for the Yanks. That was a huge win last night, the Sox number 3 taking out the Yanks ace in New York. But then again the yanks and Mussina lost the opener of the Twins series, too.

I'm looking for the Lowe to beat Pettitte tonight. The way I see it, it wouldn't be the curse if the Sox didn't ruin a sure thing.

I am upset that the Yankees lost but I do believe that they will rebound tonight with a strong showing from Pettite. But the Yankee bats really need to get going. I think they will show up tonight as they dont have the knuckle ball to mess with them. Great game by the sox last night though, I just hope I dont see any more of them.
