It was going to hit the pole anyways the fan's hand was basically in front of the pole.

As I said last night I got a good laugh from Ed "the objective" Yankees fan.

Reminder; Damon didn't play, but you still won the game.

The way I see it, this game, like stated earlier, is THE biggest game in the series for either team. If the Sox can take this game tonight, then they will have a HUGE advantage in the series with Pedro on the mound for game 3. If they lose, then it's anyone's game. This IS the biggest game for the Sox this year I feel (aside from game 5 of the ALDS) because if they win, they have Pedro for game 3, and if he is the Pedro he can be, the Sox could wind up going up 3-0 in the series. It all depends on tonight's game though, and I am extremely confident in Lowe after his showing in the ALDS. Should be a GREAT game tonight

GO SOX!!!

I disagree with tonight's being the most important game. I thought the first game was the most important because...

1. It showed that the Sox can beat the Yankees in the postseason.
2. The Sox can hit the Yanks' best pitching.
3. The bullpen can hold their own in this series.
4. Wakefield gave them 6 STRONG innings, saving the tired bullpen for the most part.
5. Embree did a good job, Timlin continued to perform, and Williamson showed that the game 5 vs. the A's was prob. due to fatigue cuz he mowed the Yanks down in the 9th last night.
6. A call in October vs. the Yanks actually went in favor of the Sox!!!

I'm sure if you ask most Sox fans that they'd be happy with a split in Yankee stadium. That was a huge game 1 win, and even though a game 2 win would be big, leaving NY with a split and going back to Fenway with Pedro on the mound is almost just as good, IMO.
