Not including his victory against Minnesota last week, Clemens is 6w - 6l with an ERA of 3.46 & 124 K's in 132.7 innings of post-season play. The ERA is about a half run higher than his career number. So, while he's had his dominate start or two, the stats show he's better during the regular season, as a whole, than the post-season. In other words, he's been inconsistent.

Also, his worst post-season series (22.50 ERA) was the 1999 ALCS versus Boston.

Not including his starts against Oakland last week, Pedro was 3 and 0 with an ERA of 1.12 in 4 starts in post-season play. This includes a 12 K, 2 hitter against the Yankees in the 1999 ALCS.

Does anyone know if Clemens and Pedro faced one another already in the 1999 ALCS?

Also, other greats' numbers from post-season play. As you can see Clemens is nowhere near the top post-season pitchers in baseball history.

Yea, I don't think Clemens is that great of a post season pitcher either. I'm more worried about him being bad today, than Pedro being totally dominate.

And yes, Clemens did face Pedro in 99, in that 2 hitter you talked about. Game 3, ALCS, in Boston. Hopefully this time the result will be a little different.
