The NL East could be over by Wednesday. If the Braves don't take 2 of 3 or sweep, it's all over.

We have to sweep this series to have a chance in the division IMO.

It'd be nice for the Tigers to do to the Indians what they did to the White Sox over the weekend. If they do, the division's all but over.

And with that, V-Mart hits a 3-Run home run. I'm really liking the way this team is playing lately.

V-Mart's homerun sounded like a gunshot. Nice pitch, Ubaldo.

Indians need a sweep to have any chance of catching the Tigers. Unless Leyland gives Verlander a day off (), he should be pitching in game three of the series. Today is Fister v Jiminez, in the battle of pitchers acquired at the deadline.

Feels like the Tigers can do no wrong. For the first time since probably 1984, the Tigers are playing their best ball at the right time.

Another dominant start from Doug Fister. 8 innings, 2 runs, 13 strikeouts. And he pitches to contact. Tigers definitely were winners at the deadline this year.

Jesus Montero with his first 2 big league home runs against the O's. Showing some big time opposite field power being able to drive those pitches out of the park.
