Only Ted Williams can do it with class, and still kick some *** when doing it.

If Braun goes 3-4 or better, he wins the title.

      I really hope that happens.

At this point I'll rather just play the Yankees since Boston might just really blow it (I expect Tampa to win cause the Yankees are just thowing anyone out there to get through tonight).
The Tigers would get the tiebreaker. They won more games against the Rangers in regular season head-to-head matchups, 6-3.

Heh, yeah that was a bush league move by Jose Reyes without question. He did that so Ryan Braun will have to basically go 5-5 in order to pass Reyes for the NL batting title.

And know what else is bush league? Mike Scoscia for pulling Ervin Santana and Jered Weaver from their assigned starts against the Rangers on the last two games of the regular season since they were eliminated from AL Wild Card contention Monday night. Those are strictly garbage moves by that Angels team, but I kind of expect stuff like that from them these days. Can't play the season out hard with your best players on the field like Baltimore, Kansas City, and Oakland have. Nah... it's easier for them to bring up the convenient "can't risk injury to our best players" excuse then pull 'em out and call the season a wrap early.

At any rate, kudos for the aforementioned Orioles, Royals and Athletics for playing out the season strong despite being out of playoff contention long ago.

Can't believe the season, for now, comes down to this one game. I expect to be incredibly let down when tonight is over.

Not for you, but for the Red Sox in general, I am rooting for let down.

I'll likely be watching all 4 games courtesy of MLB.TV.

Edit: Also, it looks like MLB.TV's free game tonight is the Cards-Astros.

I don't have any motivational words. None of that bull**** matters.

Win one game, and hope for help. If you don't get that help, then ****ing win tomorrow.

Go Hudson. And the offense better wake up.

The Indians clinched 2nd place in the AL Central with the White Sox loss to the Blue Jays today. Hopefully we can beat Detroit tonight and finish with a .500 record for the year.
