I'm wondering if you said the same thing when he served up that meatball to Ellsbury last weekend. Nobody is throwing games - they started their regulars.

Clearly you missed my rant about Proctor, as in he sucks.

Yeah, because MLB pitchers are taught to throw 82MPH change ups down the middle already behind in the count.

Not once, but 3 hitters in a row.

I'm not saying the Pirates would've won that game had the call at home been correct, but it's funny how you look back at all the games this season, and realize that those wins and losses the very reason that you're at the exact place you are right now.

So you sit, and wonder... if he was correctly called out at the plate, and the Pirates eventually won that game... the Cardinals would be the NL Wild Card team right now.

All the bad calls over the season kind of balance each other out. That bad call won the game for the Braves. Earlier in the year Prince Fielder was called safe on a run that became the game winning run against the Braves. Replays showed he was clearly out.

Just one example. Bad calls are frustrating, but they do seem to balance out over the course of the season.
