I agree with many of your statements. You have to give the Marlins some credit. They came through when they needed to. Take nothing away from the Marlins because they played very well.

Yeah joeboo... I really like what this Marlins team brings to the table. You've got power in Pudge, Lowell, and Lee, you got speed in Castillo, Pierre and even that Cabrera kid is VERY impressive. They got pitching, they got a very good bullpen, if not "very good", it's at the LEAST competent enough to do it's job, and Urbina is a very solid closer.

The Marlins weakness is that they do not have a good lefthander in the pen. In fact I think they only have one (Almanza) & he sucks.

The Cubs were not able to take advantage of the Marlins' dependence on RHP relievers because their only LHB *threat* is Randall Simon.

But the Yankees sure could take advantage of RHP relievers with Giambi, Matsui, Williams, Posada, Garcia all able to deal damage hitting lefty.

But can the Yankees handle the Marlins' team speed? Nobody really runs in the A.L. like the Marlins do.

Could be a very interesting Series

Nobody in the NL?! Nobody in the MAJORS runs like the Fish... (which is an odd statement in itself... lol)

If indeed it IS NYY going to the Series, it's going to be the classic "speed vs. power"... actually even if the BoSox make it it's going to be the same match-up.
