Well, the Marlins take game 1. Great win forever, they showed small ball at it's finest. No extra base hits, while still managing a few runs. Great job by Willis to shut them down in relief.

Yeah, I thought that was a very good game. For all those that refused to watch it because it was FL against NY, you missed a very good game. I read a few things on different sites where people said they wouldn't watch it because there was "nothing interesting" about this World Series. Gonna be a very good WS IMO...

Exactly. People complain there aren't any interesting rivalries, and while that may be true, the bottom line is it is a series between 2 very good baseball teams.

Yes, very good game. I think Dontrelle was encouraged by the support of yankee fans like AI and got his act together. Juan Pierre was money.

I still like the Yanks in 6 however. They'll get better with each game, and most certainly take at least 2 of the games in Florida.

the Yanks are cool in my book and all...

...but Juan Pierre just became my favorite baseball player.

Good game, but we lost. Not much emotion from me today, nor the crowd at the stadium. Dontrelle Willis did his job, good for him. Luckily our players got a first-hand look at him so it can only help our chances against him tonight. Let's get 'em tomorow!
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "
                              - Lavar Arrington on his new Redskins teammate Sean Taylor.
