I can't wait til next year when the Marlins drop off the table and don't make the playoffs because of what a fluke they are. If this sounds familiar it's probably because it happened last year with the Angels. In my opinion, getting past teams by fluke dropped balls (Giants) and fans interfering (Cubs) is not such a great accomplishment. At this point they are playing really well, but they're like the '98 Yankees, anything and everything goes their way. Let's face it, what are the odds of Wells' back acting up last night in Florida where it should be hot enough to keep it loose forever? I guess "luck" goes both ways, cause in my opinion the Red Sox are a better team than the Yankees, but the Yanks won. I just wouldn't get all hyped like Tim McCarver and Joe Buck and act like the Marlins are the '27 Yankees or some unbeatable force to be reckoned with. If certain Yankees could get a clutch hit just once in their overrated lives, this series would be over and the Yanks would've swept and had their parade today.

Whether you want to admit it or not, if the marlins win the world series, they will be world champions. You would think that eventually all of the flukes arent just flukes, but actual good plays by the marlins ( omg , the marlins actually playing well? no way! they didnt win any of the games, the games were given to them, since the other teams really dont want to win it all. I would count about 200+ flukes since the postseason started, and thats a lot of damn flukes.)
Hell they have been a fluke since they first started chasing the phillies for the wild card. In any case, the last team standing wins, and this is in any sport.
Ok , i am done rambling. Trying to stay away from marlin discussion due to me being a fan of the fish. But i still have to chime in when a team, ANY TEAM, isnt not given any kind of respect as to the way they are winning.

LOL, bitter? I have nothing to be bitter about. We beat the Red Sox and that's all I really care about. Most, if not all, Yankees fans will tell you that the World Series has been a pretty big letdown after the incredible regular and postseason series against the bo sox. I can't wait til next year to face them again and beat em again. Besides, we'll see Saturday who's disappointed, cause I have a feeling the Yanks aren't done. Yankee Stadium is a completely different place to play when the season is on the line, and Beckett seemed awfully cocky at the news conference this afternoon- I don't think he realizes what he's gotten into.

thats the point. he doesnt know hes not supposed to win. if he stays in that frame of mind the marlins might just be hoisting that trophy in NY tonight. yes i know that bo sox series was great but come on dont give me that cop out answer that thats all you care about. its the yankees for goodness sakes. all you care about is championships. sounds like to me the excuses are all ready flying. oh well at least we beat the bo sox thats all that matters. give me a break.
