    Billy Beane is Ed Wade

Andre Either for Milton Bradley, Carlos Gonzalez for 3 months of Matt Holliday, Tim Hudson for Dan Meyer and now Trevor Cahill for a pitcher that is the same age and a rebuilt elbow. I mean cmon

You're right it was Beane's fault Holliday completely stunk it up in oakland (he's been flipped into Micheal Taylor anyway now). Bradley wasn't a bad trade at the time at all. It needed to be done at the time for a world series run.

Mulder for Haren, Barton, Calero was horrible to though I guess?

Not to mention a few years later turning Haren and one other player into Brett Anderson, Chris Carter, Carlos Gonzelez, Eveland, Cunningham. Yea that was horrible too.

Oh yea, and Swisher for Gio Gonzelez, Sweeney, De Los Santos.

Trading Cahill who has three years of service time for an A- prospect with zero years isn't completely stupid either. The A's aren't winning anytime soon and it's widely known they are trying to set up a window for when the new stadium ever gets approved.

Expect Gonzalez to be moved soon too. This team is getting exploded.

    Ed Wade? Come on....

      I'm furious.

Gio is next, then Bailey. I understand the "why" but as a fan it sucks.

Do you think they will lower their asking price on Gonzalez? The Tigers were willing to give up Turner who is one of the games best prospects (and Tigers number 1), but Oakland also wanted Nick Castellanos who is Detroit's best infield prospect. He's a 20 year old third basemen.

Turner and a two solid prospects should be enough for him. But not Detroit's 1-2 prospects, that seems a little too steep.

Probably not, they have a bunch of suitors and are said to want a haul similar to the one they got for Haren.

Alright, well I hope they come down. Detroit will do just about every deal, including Turner and Boesch. They just don't give up Castellanos. After seeing the Angels improve, I want to see Detroit add a frontline starter instead of a veteran 5th starter.

Gonzalez is an interesting pitcher. His walks and WHIP are a little high, and his ERA's are lower than what they should be. But he consistently finds a way to do it. 26, never hurt, 200 innings, He'd be a great addition to anybodys staff.
