But apparently Hamilton told the Rangers of the incident...

I've talked to alcoholics and most of them told me that even one drink is too many. The problem is they have no brakes and can't stop once they get that first taste.

I wish Josh the best but someone with his demons shouldn't be playing with fire.

Then they aren't recovering alcoholics, they are just plain alcoholics.

As someone said, people with drug and alcohol addiction don't have any brakes, it's a steep drop once they go down that path, and even steeper climb back up to sobriety.

Hopefully this is a minor setback, and he can get back on track. This is something he'll struggle with his entire life. I worry about his ability to stay on the right path once his baseball career is over and the Rangers are no longer monitoring him.

Good luck Josh, I hope things turn out well.

This is definitely concerning...for Hamilton, his family, and the Rangers. I really hoped he turned the corner and moved on because all of the interviews I've seen he's been sincere in his faith and overcoming his demons. It seems as though those demons are resurfacing. Hopefully, this is only an aberration...

He needs to speak with his sponsor (assuming he had one) and get back in meetings (if he was working his steps at all that is). Being an addict/alcoholic means one thing for you if you are to stay clean and sober and that is complete abstinence forever.

There is no other way if he wants to continue to be in recovery. It is never ending work.

Yes obviously people relapse, it happens... The important thing for him right now is to get back to recovery being and staying sober.

I hope he gets some help and stays sober.

All right, let's stop the **** measuring contest and get back to the topic. This topic has nothing to do with who knows more about addictions...It's about Josh Hamilton, not you guys.

If it was him and a teammate, the Rangers need to hold the teammate accountable also. How in the world would you bring him to a bar? Even if you are just there to eat the food, you shouldn't go there with him.

Just rubbin it in! your a Rangers fan its trash talk lol

Addiction in reality isnt a laughing matter, but jokes about him meh, theyre just for a laugh.

Again though its sad when someone has this ammount of talent gets caught up in this stuff.
Flat out, im totally Envious much like Crash Davis in Bull Durham when he says "I got brains, but you got talent" its frustrating.
I cant support someone this dumb, never did before this either, Although the Biography was an entertaining read for the most part.

Are you really that ignorant to think that a relapse is a laughing matter?

                        C'mon.
