Suspenders used to be popular too. Now they're not. It's not the suspenders' fault--they work just like they always did. It's that tastes changed. Sports is now primarily a TV product, not strictly a live attraction. To ignore this is to be willfully ignorant. All I'm saying is football is built to be a better TV product.

I agree that pro football is made for television. I once went to see the Cowboys play in the pre-season (just about the only way to see a Cowboys game at Jerryworld), and it was a few plays, then stop. New drive, then stop. If you have to go to a pro football game, it's best if you bring a newspaper or something.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

Well, there's cricket and Australian rules football.

Football is the one sport that is way more entertaining on TV.
The first NFL game I went to live, I couldn't believe how much standing around there was.
No wonder 95% of fans are drunk by the end of the 1st quarter. There's nothing else to do.
The sport translates incredibly well on TV.
I'd like to know what others think, but I would like to see MLB put in a rule where you can only take one foot out of the batters box once the first pitch is thrown. It might help speed it up some.Comment
