Lol fair enough, I did get a laugh from a lot of the jokes about him being drunk though...pretty funny stuff. But sadly, I broke my own rules of not reading the ESPN comments, I usually follow those rules. But boredom in History 105 got the best of me

What a **** move. I think it'd be fine if they still talked to each other and were friends, but this just makes CJ look thin skinned.

Mike Napoli doesn't know what prompted former Texas Rangers left-hander C.J. Wilson to tweet out Napoli's cell phone number.

Wilson, who has more than 116,000 followers, tweeted Napoli's cell out on Saturday. In the tweet, the current Los Angeles Angels starter acted like he was giving Napoli his number but instead put Napoli's number out for the public. Wilson eventually deleted the tweet, and called it a prank.
"I don't even know why he did it," Napoli said. "You don't do that. I am not taking it as a prank."

"You know, I haven't even talked to him since the end of last season. We don't have that type of relationship."

Wilson tweeted this later: "Okay I think we've all had a good time, I'm even with mike for saying he can't wait to hit homers off me."

Napoli doesn't remember saying he wanted to hit home runs off Wilson specifically, and was confused why Wilson took it that way.

"I don't even remember saying I want to take him deep," Napoli said. "But as every power hitter, you're always trying to take pitchers deep. So I'll say it now, I'm going to try and take him deep."

Instead of getting back at him via Twitter, Napoli said Wilson should have called him if he was offended by what he said.

"If I have a problem with somebody, I'm going to call them," Napoli said. "I just think it was uncalled for."

And here's what CJ Wilson had to say about it today.

Our Rick Gosselin stayed behind in Surprise today and watched Wilson pitch for the Los Angeles Angels against Kansas City today. After Wilson tossed five shutout innings that included no walks and five strikeouts, Gosselin asked for a simple explanation of the "prank."

Here is a transcript of the exchange:

Gosselin: "What purpose did it serve tweeting Napoli's phone number?"

Wilson: "Next question. If you ask baseball questions, we'll talk."

Daniel Bard sets a new record by complaining about the home plate umpiring and claiming that all of his runs were due to "bad luck" on March 20th. Well done good sir.

Unbelieveable. The Cards just can't have both him and Wainwright healthy at one time.

MLB.com reporting that he'll miss his Opening Day start.

"Literally the tire on the SUV ran over the driver’s head," said a witness to the crash. "Without the helmet, the gentleman would have been dead instantly."

Re: 2012 Spring Training Discussion Thread

Waste of talent, this is what happens when you think you own the world because you happen to play a sport. To make things worse, you get your ego stroked because you happen to be the number 1 pick because 1) the person responsible for scouting you did not bother to check on your attitude, behavior, and personality and 2) the owner of the team was to cheap to fork over money for a real number 1 talent.

All that showing off to your "minor league" buddies with your fancy car while you have a crap attitude, along with all the tirades and such ranging from the bar fight incident in Arizona to starting a fight with a high school lacrosse team to throwing a tantrum new a major news outlet to trying to chuck a baseball at a women.

You had your second chance Matt Bush, but now karma will finally claim you. Many kids would've seized the opportunity to not only have a chance to play for their "favorite team" growing up, but to have the two-way talent that this pea-sized brain fool wasted makes me want to puke.

Junk ball throwing lefties go on and on and on. Just look at Jesse Orosco's career, granted he started out as a bit of a flame thrower whereas Moyer was always a bit of a soft tosser who could get it to 95 MPH every once in a while.

You mention Orosco...Jesse is only FOUR years older than Moyer.

Looks like Joba Chamberlain really, really messed up his ankle playing with his kid on a trampoline. Apparently it was an open dislocation, which means the bone was sticking out of the skin. He'll be in the hospital for a few days and will likely miss the entire season now.

This sets back his TJ rehab as well. Tough one.
