Use Boone, or Weaver as your scapegoat(s). I could live without them, but Soriano is off-limits.
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "

That's a great trade, IMO. I love Soriano, but Beltran is a STUD. The only area where Soriano has him beat is power. Beltran is an excellent fielder, gets on base a lot, is an excellent baserunner. They could move Bernie out of center, and then get a more defensive minded second baseman. Check out Beltran's numbers, stop looking at Soriano's homers, and it's a great deal for the Yanks if it were to happen.

Steinbrenner is probabily upset with Soriano. But I don't think Johnson would be traded. 2 players for Beltran? The Yankees would be getting ripped on salary in that deal. Steibrenner is buying to much talent. Talent that can only take you so far. And I think obviously in the World Series this year, we seen that money can't always buy you a ring.

It would only be Soriano for Beltran. Johnson is not included.

As long as mediocre pitching is available to groove Soriano 84 mph sliders down the middle he's a great fantasy player. This says nothing of his ability in the real world. The Yanks are wise to try and trade him now, and Beltran is a great option.

Have I mentioned that Soriano is a hack?
