every player in MLB goes through waivers at least once every season...its a formality, and theres always so many hadshake deals going on behind the scenes that it means absolutely squat....if somebody does have the balls to claim that contract, they can either work out a trade with Boston, or the Sox simply pull Manny back off waivers and are back where they started
and, for the record, the Yankees already have plenty of rightfielders who cant play right field

In this case, it's irrevocable waivers, meaning ANY team can claim him but is responsible for the rest of his 5 year 100 mil contract. Boston CANNOT take him off until after midnight friday. GET HIM O'S!!!!!!!!!!Comment
