Oh, but the Giambi part is okay??

Jeter would be just as good IMO in center than at short-- (hate to point out he aint that great a SS, in the regular season anyway). Soriano couldn't be any worse at short than he is at second-- he played short in the minors. Bernie would absolutely benefit from a move to left. Todd Walker has the ideal stroke for Yankee stadium-- I see 25 to 30 homers easily.

Giving Giambi back to the A's would counter-act the Giambi curse.. (that being the Yankees never win another World Series after stealing him from the A's... (in the late 21st century, after 25 straight trips to the playoffs with no title, the chants of 0-1, 0-1, 0-1 will ring in the ears of yankee fans everywhere)..

Giambi is not the reason we're losing, Mike Mussina is! Consider that a joke, and a bad one at that, but Giambi's not the scapegoat.

Jeter going to CF is not suprising to me since I have suggested that myself earlier on, but it's not going to be for Soriano..Perhaps when Nomar signs with us next season.
Soriano should be left at 2B. I like his production for a 2B, which means more offense, but his speed is going to waste.
Todd Walker - His name shouldn't even be mentioned when you're looking to improve your defense.
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "
      - Lavar Arrington on his new Redskins teammate Sean Taylor.

Wow, could you imagine an up the middle D of Todd Walker and Soriano? Wow. I do think Soriano's better at short than second, though. And I do believe Jeter would play a decent center. Maybe signing Castillo would be a better idea than Walker, though I think Castillo is about to enter some down years.

But good point about Mussina... after the Yanks had won 3 straight titles they decided to improve their team only through the free-agent market. I'm sure there is a Greek tragedy about the greed of Kings coming to consume them in the end... but that curse would date to Mussina's signing, not Giambi...

I thought a forum was about opinions good or bad.
Or we could all talk about how nice and blue the sky is, how nice flowers smell, give me a break.
If the Yankee's go into next season with the same team they wont even make the playoffs.
I'll continue to speak my mind, remember dont take it so serious.
Just to prove i can be positive about the Yankee's i now think Posada's become a great catcher and team leader.

Re: Not good enough for the Yankees

Stop posting let me think about that,ok no, i'm only just getting warmed up.

Then I'd return Giambi to the A's, pay his salary, and beg forgiveness.

You point out that Jeter isn't a great regular season SS. Well, who would you rather have at SS during the postseason, Jeter or Soriano (and be honest)? I agree that Bernie should move over. The better move IMO would be to trade Soriano for Beltran (or some combo as long as both players are in that deal) so that you can have a REAL CF replace Bernie, have your clutch SS, move Bernie to left. As for your 2B dilemma, signing Walker sounds like a good idea, but this is a guy who's hit a career high of 17 HR's (12 of those in 85 games with Colorado).
