R.A. Dickey: Wherever I Wind Up

    Anybody buying this book?

Was never a fan persay of him, but after knowing what we know, he has rocketed to the top of my most liked list.

For the courage to come out and say what he said regarding his abuse and his climbing of Mt. Kilaminjaro for charity [against the mets wishes.. what!?]

Him finding a syringe in the texas clubhouse bathroom in 2001, was not a shocker [A-Rod, Juan Gone?]

Alcoholic mother talking him to a bar while hes a kid so she can drink?

But the bravery coming out with the stories of abuse, kudos to you, a big weight is lifted off him now and I hope the rest of his days is all good times

Book is ordered, can't wait to read it.
    R.A. you are top five.

Plus, he takes the train to games, which automatically makes him cooler than say Brandon Phillips..

And, as the sole comment points out, he uses "irony" correctly...

So much to admire about this guy...throwback / old skool / jouneyman / knuckelballer...

I look forward to the book, but am willing to bet it gets optioned for a movie at some point as well...

In the MLB, he's my favorite player. I live in Miami, I'm a fan of the Mets and I believe he should be the Ace of the Mets team. He carried the team last season, the guy is a great person.

By the way, thank you for the recommendation. I saw the interview on ESPN but I didn't think I would buy the book. The things you addressed, I'm picking this up now. Thank you.
