Giants Road Uniforms

The Giants road uniforms look different. Not the pants but the design of the jersey looks different. Looks like the old Giants road jerseys with San Francisco written across the chest instead of the SF on the left chest.

Ok. I finally found the information about the Giants and Rockies both having new road uniforms.

I feel like if they were going to do that go all the way with the old SF logo on them. I know that is the alternates. Just not a fan of that look period.

Noticed this too. Not a fan of their new road uniforms.

They wore them today in Phoenix, they didn't look that bad on the field. Too "bleh" though.

They showed the D'backs game on TV here yesterday and I saw the new Giants roadies. They look good to me. It's a bit of a restrained look but it's not like the Giants have never done that before. The road uniforms had the SF logo on the side of the jerseys from 1983 to 1993. So they've had a similar look for a decade before going back to the traditional wordmark on the roads.

The Giants will only wear the traditional SF road jerseys on Sundays. Otherwise, they wear the normal ones with "San Francisco" lettered across their uniform during any other road game.

That's correct, they will be wearing the road alternate (SF) on left chest on Sundays along with their alternate cap (orange bill).

The everyday road jerseys did change slightly too though. They added the black piping.

I know I'm nit-picking, and the jerseys have grown on me a little, but I dislike them because they are inconsistent with the other jerseys (that didn't change this year). The home cream jerseys don't have black piping (nor would I ever want them to) and the home cream jersey and home alternate (orange jersey) also have the stripe along the very edge of the sleeve, where as the new ones have it raised up about an inch.
