I'm probably late with this, but Tigers-Rangers rescheduled into a double-header tomorrow.

Oh and the Reds became the 4th team to reach 10,000 wins. They join the Cubs, Giants, and Braves.

The Phillies first mistake was not signing him in the offseason. I love that guy. Solid player.

The fact that Cashner is still being used as a set-up man proves that Bud Black has no idea what he's doing.

I'm pretty much positive that game had only 347 fans. It was last August around the time of Hurricane Irene.

I would love to go to a game like that. Would feel like having the place to myself, no lines at the concessions, no "stand next to you" guys in the restroom, plus the players can clearly hear you when you shout obscenities at them.

It's not that great. Back in 1993 when the Padres had their first fire sale, I went to a game with what was listed as 9,000 fans but there's no way there were more than 3 or 4 thousand people there. I bought field level seats behind home plate 20 minutes before first pitch. It was cool, but also eery and kinda lifeless. Although that could also be because the Padres were so bad at that point as well.

It proves he's got nobody else to me.

Joe Thatcher and Luke Gregerson were both available and have proven to be better at these kinds of situations than Cashner. In fact, Cashner has seen the most appearances out of all the pitchers in the bullpen.

It feels like the philosophy for Black and Byrnes is that they're putting him out there a lot to try to justify trading Anthony Rizzo for a reliever and it's hurting them right now. That trade should've never happened, no reason to get rid of someone because you got an older prospect at the same position.
