Jason Heyward just killed a baseball. It was just foul, but damn.

Re: Game Discussion Thread: 4/30 - 5/6
Even if the Padres lost tonight, today was a freakin' treat to watch in person. It was already the sixth inning after an hour and Buerhle had that sinker of his working all night. There were also some fine defensive plays that games.
Unfortunately I think Bud Black stuck with Richard too long. He wasn't particularly effective all game and had a lot of help from his defense (Surprising, since we had both Jesus Guzman and Jason Bartlett out there today). Also, the Marlins have ridiculous speed at the top with Reyes, Bonifacio, and Hanley.Comment

Just got back from Angels game. This just in Mike Trout is going to be real good. Homered, made a ridiculous catch in CF, and turned a routine single in to a double with pure speed.Comment

I'm really looking forward when the Angels come to town. I moved some of my season tickets around for one of the games in that series and I'm hoping that the game I picked happens to be the game that either Dan Haren or Jered Weaver pitch in. I'm also looking forward to seeing Mike Trout play.Comment

Yeah that Padres/Marlins game was a good game to watch just cause it was good baseball. Both guys worked at a very fast pace, solid D from both teams, and little BS from umpires.
The more I watch the more I love Reyes/Hanley defensively in the left side, my concerns are shifting to LoMo/Stanton(good arms, not greatest fielders)Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Pure awesomeness.
TWINS MAKE HISTORY WITH ONLY 9 HITS OVER 4 GAMES
From Elias: The Twins, held to one hit by Seattle's Felix Hernandez and Steve Delabar on Saturday night after being no-hit by Jered Weaver on Wednesday, now have accumulated a total of just nine hits over their last four games - the fewest hits over a four-game span by any team in modern major-league history (that is, since 1900). Minnesota surpassed the previous four-game low of 10 hits, done by the California Angels in 1969 and by the Reds in 1993.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment
