    Orioles pick Mazzilli

Hopefully the O's will pull things back together. I never liked Hargrove. The first thing he did was fire all of the talent. He always seemed so ho-hum about everything. We need somebody to kick some butt. Hopefully Mazzilli will be the guy.

I would've preffered Randolph but Mazilli is a very capable baseball man who knows how to interact with players and get them to perform well. Maz's played for a great manager in Davey Johnson and managed for Torre so i'm sure he's soaked up a lot of baseball knowledge from those two.

Also he brings the unique experience of having won the WS as a player and coach. Will be interesting to see how he manages the pitching staff.

Will Perlozzo be back as bench coach? I hope so.

Yep, the first base coach is going to make all the difference.
