Good stuff by Heath Bell after allowing a leadoff double to save the game

Ricky Nolasco passed Dontrelle to become Marlins all time leader in Wins at 69

The Twins have been upgraded to slightly frisky.

Last time I saw a shot like that was with Sammy Sosa in Triple Play 2000.

And the Los Albuquerque Dodgitopes continue to win with a lineup full of Scott Van Slyke's and Elian Herrera's.

Dodgers are the first team to 30 wins. 30-13, best record in baseball, and 6 wins in a row.

Jon Jay, Allen Craig, Kyle McClellan, Lance Berkman, and Matt Carpenter pending, all on the DL within the past week. Ugh.

They measured it after that game and said it traveled 452 feet before it hit the canopy in center. They also said that if there wasn't an obstruction in the way that it had the potential to go 480-490 before landing. Insane!

Still not as impressive as the Buster Posey HR today.

How so? Posey's went 438 feet as opposed to the 452 for Pena.

Balls tend to stop traveling when it hits a wall or in Posey case, a scoreboard. Also the place where Posey hit the scoreboard is much higher than where Pena's ball landed on a slanted surface. That difference can easily make up the 14 feet difference that separated them.

Yeah that Pena HR was the stuff of videogames.

Here's hoping RR Cool Jay can pitch well enough to give the Jays a series win in the voodoo land that is Tropicana Field.

Oh and that Yan Gomes fella is sure good with the bat.

Just finished watching the highlights from the game...that's easily the best I've seen Matusz look since the end of 2010. His breaking stuff was ridiculous.

Home Run Tracker seems to dissagree with you guys. Pena's was a no doubter and Posey's was just a plenty(er).

Man, if we could win tonight, that'd be super cool. But with ZMac on the mound against Fister, it's not looking good. Maybe he'll surprise, though.

Tomorrow though...oh boy. Verlander vs Masterson.
