Arod Traded???

Some of you that are in the Boston, New York or Anaheim area, I'd like your input on the news you have heard on the ARod trade possibility. Or for that fact, anyone's input. I live the DFW area, I've heard about ARod being shopped, or maybe not. I'm not sure what to think of it, I know that his 25 million per year contract kills us, but of course, Chan Ho's 17 per year is the albatross around the Rangers neck. I seriously doubt anyone in MLB is worth 25 million per year, but if anyone comes close to it, it's ARod. The guy is unbelievable, however the Rangers have never figured it out, you MUST have pitching! The Rangers will not get several top prospects for AROD, if this trade happened, it would be like an NBA trade...Rangers would trade Arod and his 7 remaining years at 25 million per for someone's poor contract which would expire sooner than Arod's. I'm sure they might get adequate players in return.
I overheard something with Anaheim including Ekstein and a couple pitchers. Let's hear your input.

I heard the same this morning. It was gonna send Nomar to Anaheim, Eckstein and maybe some others to Texas for cap reasons I guess, and A-Rod over here to Boston. My first reaction was hell no, just because Nomar IS the Red Sox. I thought it over though. Nomar wants to move to the west coast I guess, so it would be better for him. If they were to trade Nomar away, I can't think of anyone else aside from A-Rod who could be better to fill in for him. If really doesn't bother me if this trade does or doesn't happen, but if we got A-Rod, we would have one HELL of a lineup. I'm just not sure about getting rid of Nomar.

I heard the same this morning. It was gonna send Nomar to Anaheim, Eckstein and maybe some others to Texas for cap reasons I guess, and A-Rod over here to Boston. My first reaction was hell no, just because Nomar IS the Red Sox. I thought it over though. Nomar wants to move to the west coast I guess, so it would be better for him. If they were to trade Nomar away, I can't think of anyone else aside from A-Rod who could be better to fill in for him. Oh yeah! I guess I just forgot when the Red Sox got the $189 million they will need to pay off Arod's bill.


They said it themselves, the only way they'd trade for Arod was of they took Manny, and even then it's HIGHLY unlikely.

If you're talking about the WUSA, I believe it folded this past season, so I would assume she's not playing on a team outside of the U.S. team or a college team she might coach.
