I always hold my breath when Cordero is pitching but thankfully he got the job done in the 9th. The Jays used the long ball and some timely hitting to get it done tonight. It also looks like David Cooper is doing a lot better with the bat this time around in the Bigs.

I know I just spoke about how umpires, like, need to be better but we don't need replays on balls and strikes... but this umpire for the Giants game must hate Tim Lincecum and love the Padres, because just wow.

Gave the Astros a scare, but it was a productive loss if you can have one. The offense showed up and almost got Garcia off the hook from another loss in Houston.

I say we just skip Jaime's starts in Houston. He sucks down there.

Trumbo hits his 2nd bomb of the night. This one to dead center.

He simply just shoved it up Beaven's *** tonight after last night's disaster. Beaven's running out of chances to stay with the big club. He still doesn't have an out pitch.

Looked up Guthrie's game logs. He's missed some time but he's leading the Rockies staff with homeruns against him and he's given up 4 multi-HR games. Only 3 games he's gone without allowing one.

I'll be surprised if he plays a full season for the Rockies

Since being traded to the Angels, Ernesto Frieri has 30 K's in 14.1 innings.

All in high-leverage situations like in the minors (he was closer until being called up with the Padres a couple of years ago, being switched around from middle relief to long relief/spot starter, never really given the chance to at least set-up).

While 30 K's is insane, he's only given up one hit as an Angel, ridiculous. His walk rate is in-line with what's expected from him though.

Why didn't anybody mention Nelson Cruz's 484 foot bomb?

Michael Brantley belts a 3-run homer in the top of the first to give the Tribe a 3 run lead over Detroit.

Josh Johnson threw 96mph and has touched around that a lot so far, I like this.

                              What the hell just happened?

Look, I understand interference and everything, but Uggla is already across home plate. Not only that, Heyward was going to make first base without a problem. Finally, that was just a part of Freeman's slide. It's not like he didn't make an attempt to get out of the way. He's hurt because of it.

Sorry if my reaction is late. I'm watching MLB.TV and it chops every half second. I think I'm like a half inning behind.
