    Give me Mike Trout.

    There might be better options, but I love his game. A 20-year-old rookie hitting nearly .340 and on pace for 44 steals? I think his power numbers will increase and the sky is the limit for him. If you prorate his numbers over 150+ games, he would be on pace for 20+ HR, 90+ RBI, 50+ steals and well over 200 hits... All at the ripe age of 20. Not even Ken Griffey, Jr. was that advanced at his age. He might have been close, but Trout's game is amazingly rounded and he's just going to get better.

    Harper, Kershaw, Stanton, Votto... All great choices, but if I'm starting a team, give me Trout.

      But back on to the OP, personally I'd take a fairly young, everyday player who can rake and play solid defense. Give me Kemp, Votto, or Stanton and I'd be one happy camper.
