A-Rod hits an A-bomb into the apple in Citi Field and that still didn't get them to raise it!

I didn't know that the home team was obligated to do its home run celebration for the visiting team.

Been reading Max Scherzer has been away from the team for personal reasons. *Rumors* indicate his brother Alex took his own life. If true, thoughts go out to Max and his family, and I'm amazed he still plans to start as scheduled tomorrow afternoon.

I agree with the Marlins announcers as I watched some of the embarrassing game today, Giancarlo Stanton is just trying to do too much at times. Some of it is his fault, but those talented hitters around him need to actually produce more

Instead of seeing Price vs Hamels Sunday in Philly I get a double-header, Cobb/Lee and Price/Hamels.

In the Jays broadcast they zoom in on Vizquel drawing on a baseball and the booth guys are commenting on how he is also an artist. They pan into the baseball further and Vizquel has drawn female genitalia and legs spread with breasts peaking up in the background. The camera was on it for a good while before it seems someone recognized what it was and the camera guy quickly pans up.

I can't remember the last time 6 was a serious number two days in a row.

I think we're back. And this is without Jaime, Carp, or Berkman.

While getting Jay and Matt Carpenter back will definitely help, I don't think we should be jumping to conclusions. I don't think taking two straight from the Royals (despite them playing well over the last couple weeks) is anything to jump for joy about.

IMO the biggest downfall to the Cards over the last couple years, has been their inept ability to play well against teams they should easily beat. They play to the level of their competition.

But I do agree that's things are looking better. Holliday is getting hot and Beltran is continuing his excellent play. As good as the rotation has been, the bullpen has been bad. It was like that last year though so we'll see if they'll get better.

Juan Pierre hit a 3-run homer to give the Phillies a 5-3 lead over the Rays. That will probably be his only homer this season. Haha.

Josh Hamilton is 0-8 with 7K and 1BB in this series. Terrible plate discipline right now.

Damnit! If I was home and actually could watch the full game in peace i'd have seen that.

I've only caught bits and chunks of the games this past week but man oh man I love the 1 thru 5 of this lineup right now!

P.S. Can the Jays play the Marlins 162 times a year?

Cueto showed up when the Reds needed him. 7 IP, gave up 3 hits and struck out 9. He also drove in 2 runs.
