This is exactly what the Cards needed. A series against the Cubs

I agree, it made a lot more sense when the leagues didn't play each other. I'd rather they made the DH universal before worrying about counting stats.

The only reason the stats "reset" (they really don't) is so that you don't have a player switching leagues winning both of the same awards in each league. It makes sense in that way because baseball is the only sport to have two of each kind of award for each league.

Too bad both the Pirates & Cardinals played great while the Reds swept the Brewers. Would have been great to gain more ground.

                  1. ^^ This is why I'd like players/coaches to vote for players and not for their own team.

                  2. What in the world does that have to do with games this week?

One thing that will never get old for me is: When the players in the dugout act nonchalant after a significant home run is made.

With that typed, Kurt Suzuki hit his first home run of the season.

The Tribe is donezo. Might as well just be sellers at the deadline rather than trade one of the few prospects we have left for another Ubaldo.

Braves really crapped out in the series finale. Too bad splitting the games. Would have been a real good opportunity to take over the division lead.

The Yankees have lost 1, 2, 3, 4 straight ball games by a margin of one run.

So in Mike Trout's interview w/ Terry Francona he states he is/was a big Phillies fan being from South Jersey.

                                1. It's always nice when the Jays sweep the BoSox even if they're not all that good this year.

                                2. I watched some of the A's game....Oh man that team is going to be DANGEROUS if they make the playoffs. Just when you thought the A's were just a trendy playoff pick that flames out they go out and play amazing baseball like this.
