    Who would you take?

If you could take any player from any era to start a franchise who would it be?

Babe Ruth from 1920. The 1.379 OPS he posted that year would certainly be nice to build around.

Plus, if you were in a pinch he could go out and pitch some games for you.

          Sandy Koufax, no doubt.

I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

Drew Butera for defense and game-calling ability.

Babe Ruth for sure, he could give you 40 homers and 20 wins on the mound. Close second CY Young, some teams can't match his career pitching stats!

Out of all time baseball? Without a doubt Old Hoss Radbourn, simply because he's Old Hoss.

If we talk about the modern game, I would take former Texas Ranger Ted Williams (in '41 season mode). The numbers that he put up are just absolutely amazing, and if it wasn't for the war he could have been even better.
