    Ibanez Inks Deal with M's

Raul signs with Seattle for 3 years!

Good signing by the M's. We've had him once but he played sparingly. It looks like either Winn or Ichiro are moving to center. Good Riddance Mike "Strikeout or Popup" Cameron!!!

Yeah you are right it looks like Mike is soon to be gone. I would have to believe that they'll move Randy to center and leave Ichiro in right. It's nice to get another left handed bat in the line-up. No we need to work on 3rd base and a left-handed starting pitcher.

          I like this deal alot.

Ibanez's numbers over the last two years at SAFECO...

          2003: .455 avg .538 OBP 1.811 OPS 3 HR 4 RBI
          2002: .381 avg .432 OBP 1.244 OPS 2 HR 8 RBI

I know that that's compiled up of only about 15 games, but nonetheless, pretty impressive at what people call a pitcher's ballpark, and when the M's pitchers have been pretty good over the last couple years.

I hope that proves that hitting at SAFECO won't cause a significant decrease in production.

we should sign cameron, and non tender randy winn. If we lose Cameron we practically are the same home run wise.

Man, now all they need to do is get a good third baseman and a decent SP and they're set! (Note: I'm not saying they don't have good starters, I'm saying they need one more decent starter)

Maybe HR wise, but Ibanez is a better all around at the plate.
