With the Yankees going after Sheffield and Bartolo Colon, and trying to re-sign Andy Pettitte, than yes Vlad would be too expensive, plus with Sheffield, there would be no need for him in New York,
it was said that the Giants would try to offer Guerrero a 2 year contract worth around 25mil. or so,
with Barry Bonds' contract up in 2 years the Giants would let Barry walk and lock Guerrero in with a long term contract, but, i think that Vlad will end up in Baltimore, the Orioles have money to spend, want a big name player, and desperatley need a power hitter.

Feels strange to think of Vladi in an Orioles uni, but IMO it's the most likely out of those reportedly going for him. If the Yanks don't get Pettitte (since so many teams are shopping for him) I have this really bad nightmare feeling that they will go for Millwood. If not him than Ponson. Wherever Vlad goes he will make the team that much better. The guy has speed, power, and a bullet for an arm. He is the virtual dream up of a "Super Outfielder". If he went to the Orioles, they would improve by 50% or more overall in all categories that aren't pitching. He's more than worth the big bucks he's eventually going to get.

As of where he'll go. There are only 2 teams that are interested highly in him now that being Baltimore and Anahiem.

Anahiem I believe has the better chance of getting him seeing as how they have a much larger payroll than the O's have. The Angels have a payroll this year of 90 mill.

The O's have came out and said early that they'll make a run at Vlad but they think there offer will not hold up.
