Phillies are calling up Darin Ruff. The guy had a monster year down at AA.

I went to the Trenton Thunder/Reading Phillies game on Friday night and saw Ruf play. Looking forward to seeing what he can do in the big leagues.

I do not understand the Michael Martinez love. Guy is hittin' like .022 and plays a wimpy infield. Frandsen has played his *** off this year and now it's on the pine. Charlie. Hey. Charlie.

Still makes no sense why Mike Fontenot was released in favor of him.

Phillies set to be just one game under .500, they may get to those 85 wins yet.

Utley back and Font can't play anywhere else. Just doesn't have the fielding skill. But held his own with his bat opportunities for sure.

Phillies defeat the Marlins 3-1 and move to 5 1/2 games out of the second Wild Card spot! 5 game winning streak!

I didn't think they had it in them this year, but the Pirates sure are trying their damnedest to finish under .500.

Even if one is not a New York fan, everyone needs to realize that New York is a hallmark of the USA. And when something happens in New York to help define the resolve of the US and help people understand what Americans are about..... it needs to be put out there.

                          Good posting.

When was the last time the Yankees and Red Sox played each other in September and it wasn't a meaningful game for both teams?

Moreover, when was the last time the Rays and Orioles played each other in September and it was a meaningful game for both teams?
