I hope every stadium has "God Bless America" being sung for the 7th inning stretch on this date.

Anyone think the Brew Crew has a legitimate shot at a WC?

They are two behind the Pirates, 4 behind the Dodgers and 5 games behind the Cards.

After the Braves, they play the Mets at home.

Then, they play the Pirates, Nationals and Reds on the road.

Then, I think the finish off with the Astros and Padres at home.

The key is the away games, but leap frogging all three will be a task.

oops- Just saw the Phillies are tied with the Brewers, wow, interesting race going on for #2.

The Yankees should not pitch to Pedro Ciriaco...

Well the Jays had to lose

BTW Alan Ashby compared the pitcher for the M's (forget his name already) to Dennis Martinez. That's pretty high praise there.

Frustrates me to no end...one week I think they can make Chipper's last year something really special, the next week I don't even think they could take the 1962 Mets in a series.

Next year's schedule is going to feel very odd. We just have to make the best of it, I guess.

Jays start the season against the Tribe and end it against the Rays.

I HATE the Jays interleague schedule though, a lot of tough teams.

At home against: Giants, Braves, Rockies and Giants

On the road against: Braves, Padres, Giants and D'Backs

Actually the road schedule doesn't seem THAT bad but the Jays suck in NL parks.

Giants twice? I assume one of those series is against the Dodgers.

Looks like the Jays and Red Sox switched interleague "rivals".

On the plus side, the 2013 schedule will finally contain (almost) all of the remaining matchups that hadn't occurred since interleague started in 1997. Looks like someone was actually paying attention when making the schedule this year (as someone who's dealt with receiving & implementing season schedules in the past, I can safely say this is a first for MLB)!

                                First-time matchups in 2013:

                                Braves @ Royals
                                Cardinals @ Angels
                                Cubs @ A's
                                Dodgers @ Yankees (!!!)
                                Nationals @ Royals
                                Rangers @ Cardinals
                                Rays @ Dodgers
                                Twins @ Braves
                                Twins @ Nationals
                                White Sox @ Mets

                                Last remaining unseen interleague matchup:

                                Nationals @ A's

EDIT: Missed one. Padres @ Blue Jays has never happened either, even though the Jays visit San Diego for the 3rd time in 2013.
