Street being out may be a blessing in a disguise. Never saw him be comfortable in the closer role overall. But, hey, that change of venue thing.... ya never know.

He must be comfortable considering he has a sub-1 ERA and a 0.55 WHIP. I'm sure PETCO has played a huge part in his success, but still, those are some really good numbers.

Here's something interesting I learned last night:

Bobby Valentine was ejected last night and it was the 6th ejection of the season. That's a Red Sox record for a manager. At least Bobby V will have his name in the record books after his short, acrimonious stay in Fenway.

Alright, Detroit @ Chicago is in a rain delay. I'm no meteorologist but looking at the radar makes me think the delay could be lengthy. This is the last scheduled game between the two teams this season. If it was rained out, how would they go about rescheduling it? Would they look for a mutual off day or tentatively schedule it at the end of the season "if necessary"?

Phillies lost. I assume they didn't want to use Papelbon unless they absolutely had to and the way they've been playing, I'm fine with the decision not to bring him in during the 8th.

Who knows. They need to take the next 3 games in this series or things might not be as happy as they are now. Minute Maid Park always seems to be the Phillies kryptonite.
