Alex White hit another HR, this time a 3 run shot. It's the second time Rockies pitcher (Pomeranz is the other) to hit a HR at petco this year.

Agreed. Bringing in a gassed Aumont the other night too was just plain stoo-peed. But the starters just haven't done well this series overall. And I wish this ump would decide if the right side of the plate is a strike or not today.

...and as I type this, Dom Brown delivers again. I was very wrong about him... and I'm very sorry.

addendum: and now I'm physically nauseous.

Rutledge with a game tying grand slam in the 8th. Padres and Rockies tied at 11 in the 8th inning.

Rangers winning 2-1, top of the 9th with 2 outs. Runners on the corners and Koji Uehara coming in to close this game. I'm more than a little nervous...

Edit: Ballgame. Koji gets the K to end the game. 2.5 up on the A's right now.

Phillies don't want it. When the schedule says you Houston, you win those games. Ugh.

Yeah, I said from the beginning that the games against the Marlins, Astros, and Mets would decide their fate in this race. I'd say this series pretty much sealed the deal, but I don't want to say for sure until this next series with the Mets is over.

Braves sweep! Huuuuge. It would sure be fantastic if we could catch them and win the division. Gonna suck if we're up 6-10 games on the WC2 and lose a one game play-in.

                        Unbelievable.

He should win the MVP but he probably won't.

He's a mile ahead of the field in the AL, they can't ignore that.

                          Can they?

Well, it is the BBWAA we're talking about here.

However, if the Halos can sneak in and get that second WC spot, it will definitely help his chances. If not, they will probably vote for Miggy.

The problem is that the Tigers aren't going to the playoffs neither.

Jeter has no business anywhere near the MVP award when he isn't even the best middle infielder on his own team.
