    The Reds

The Cincinnati Reds have announced that Dave Miley will stay on as team Manager and have signed him to a 1yr contract with an option for 2005,
the Reds went 22-35 under Miley last season, but during his run traded most of the team away,
Jerry Manuel was the only other real chouce with managerial experience,
so what do you Red fans think?.

    Re: The Reds

Considering what he had to work with 22-35 isn't too bad for the Reds last year. They were in all out fire-sale mode and shipped out anyone who throw or hit. He won't have that much to work with but in a couple years there might be something.

Miley is strictly there as a stopgap. I'm sure that the powers that be in Cincy will build the team around some of the players they have now and bring up their talent in the minors. Miley will just be a teacher to the kids until they look like they can be competitive. That's when they'll get a "Proven" manager.
